Meet Dr. Pierre Plante

Chiropractor Kitchener, Dr. Pierre PlanteLearning About Chiropractic

Growing up active, Dr. Plante played several sports. Injuries happened along the way. The person who helped him out was a chiropractor. He became a patient for several years and realized that it could be the perfect career choice. “I get to help people all day and improve their quality of life.”

To earn the proper degree, he attended Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. During his time there, he was introduced to modalities such as acupuncture and soft tissue work. They are some of the many services provided today at Heritage Park Physical Therapy.

Further Training and Expertise

There are several additional certificates Dr. Plante holds. He is certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University. He holds a master’s degree in the biomechanics of the foot and ankle. This knowledge gives him an edge in assessing patients for custom-created orthotics. Other courses include Active Release Technique®, Instrument-Assisted Tissue Work, Kinesio Taping® and Functional Movement. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He has completed additional training and is now a sport specialist chiropractor. He is now a Fellow of the Royal Chiropractic College of Sport Sciences Canada.

Dr. Plante and his wife have three beautiful children. In his spare time, his family likes to be outside playing, going for walks, hikes, bike rides and going skiing or skating. He supports local youth sports groups and a nearby food bank.
